Location Scouting

I've decided that the location I will be shooting in is a friend's house. The house I am filming in has a study area in which I will use to film the scene where the protagonist is working at his desk. The living room inside the house has an isolated seating area, ideal for a typical horror convention. Another factor which heavily contributed to selecting this area to shoot my opening scene in, is the carpet, resembling the carpet used in the shining.

The carpet in the living room has an uncanny resemblance to the carpet used in the horror movie, 'The Shining':
