Deciding a name for my film - Conventions
Creating a film name
Things I want to evaluate before creating a title for my film would be things such as:
Making it easy to type - This means a title that is simple to understand that is easy to type into google, something key for online success.
Keeping it short - This mean trying to avoid complexity, again keeping it simple to understand for the audience. A short title makes it catchy and enables it to roll off the tongue, this also helps the viewer's misspelling it.
Using key words - This means something that describes my movie using minimal words. For example the movie title 'IT' or 'Get Out'. 'IT' merely describes the villain. 'Get Out' describes the protagonists objective.
Avoid numbers and hyphens - These create confusion. If someone hears the movie title then later wants to type it into an Internet browser they will not be sure if the title uses the numeral or the lettering.
